No focus
I also had several niche interests which I could claim to having some expertise in. I knew if I drew on those talents, I’d make some good money and I did. I set up a computer repair/upgrade business and I was soon making a large amount of money. I also created websites for small to medium sized businesses and that was lucrative too. I advertised my services in the local press and on notice boards and for a while I was contented. My lifestyle improved, I purchased my first house and had the car I’d wanted for a long time, I holidayed frequently in exotic locations, but I had to do a lot of work to do and I wanted something easier. Like something advertized in one of those ads… “Make $1000 a week for 1 hours work”, Now I knew that such a statement was true because in the past I’d made $200 for an animated logo that took me 15 minutes to create.
Wasting time
You need to shedule these activities and keep them to the minimum, concentrate on being focused and launch yourself into your first project and visualise the outcome. Write your goals where you can see them, if you believe in the Law of Attraction…use it!!!
Turn off the television, get rid of the background noise and work hard. Leave your weekends free to spend time with your loved ones and never work on those days. Work on improving your mind and learning how to quiet it. Keep an open mind and consider all possibilities, get excited about life and start living it! If I were to promote an affiliate product, (which I don’t do because I make my own). Look at that product and ask yourself honestly, “Does it make me want to buy it?” “Does it press my emotional hot buttons?”. How many people are promoting a Clickbank product half-heartedy and putting very little into their pre-sales material?
Wasting money
Taking on too much
Make a list of all your projects and work through each one in turn. The time will come in the future when you have enough disposable income to be able to hire someone to work for you, but in the meantime you need to plan.
Learn how to let go
Automate
If you’ve got a problem, brainstorm ways to resolve it, maybe you could use an Imacros script to automatically handle directory submissions (you could even sell this as a product).
Maybe you could take some time out to learn a free programming language, like Autohotkey
Think about all the duties you can automate and if you can’t build something to handle the task, see if you can find a freeware solution or a software application which fulfils the purpose, if there’s nothing out there pay to have the software made…it will pay off.
Here’s a list of the duties which I have developed software to automate. Some of these items are free or have fully functional demo versions. Without these tools, I’d be making a lot less online!
Complete Twitter Account management, the software available online is nowhere near as good as the software which I’ve developed.
Keyword research, Internet Marketing Product lifecycle software
Automatically search several niche forums at once for my keyword phrase
Yahoo Answers, advance search/open question finding software
Update All your social networks at once
Clickbank search and promote software (In testing phase)
Forum profile creating software (in testing phase)
Do-follow blog search and validation
Instant squeeze page templates for WordPress and Blogger
These are only some of my products, I work in several other niches too.
Sign up for my list to receive some of the above software for free and future beta releases.
