The Power Of Article Marketing With Web 2.0

You in all probability use Twitter and you must have  discovered  sites like Stumble Upon and Digg. These sites fall into the category of Web 2.0, but what does this mean? Web 2.0 in a nutshell is social networking,  a simple networking concept which produces amazing results.

If you would like to save or bookmark a site you’ve discovered, these days you don’t need to save it to your harddrive. When using a Web 2.0 site you bookmark sites online and you can check it again any time you want. However the real power behind social bookmarking is that you not only bookmark the resource for yourself,it is also shared with people from all over the world. All the people on your friend list and even the ones who are not can see your bookmark and they may also bookmark it too!.

Okay, so web 2.0 and social bookmarking are good and are of value to the user, but how is this of value for you as a web developer? Just think how much traffic an intersting article could bring your site.if it’s found and bookmarked  by just a few people who like and share your link..

The idea then is to create some content which will go viral on the Internet, this could be done by creating a video for Youtube, by creating a PDF document with some links back to your site, by giving a useful application away for free etc. There are many ways of enticing people to share your content too. Tweetmeme is a useful plugin which allows people to retweet your blog pages from within WordPress. There are also several good web 2.0 plugins for WordPress which allow users to bookmark your blog on various web 2.0 sites.

Writing articles for Ezinearticles and Go articles and including a link back to your blog is also a good way to get people to view and bookmark content on your blog too.

Combine article marketing and the major power of  Web 2.0 and the benefits to your business will be truly amazing. Imagine people passing your article from one another via Twitter or Digg and receiving exponential traffic.Imagine people sharing your blog on Twitter and Digg and all of the potential customers out there just waiting to buy your products.

Hi Guys, Heres an idea which may build your traffic and reduce your Alexa rating. I’m no SEO guru, but I’ve noticed my traffic triple recently by using this method. It’s very simple to do, and is an automated process once you’ve set it up. There are a couple of ways to do this. The easiest way is to complile a list of all of the websites you are promoting and save the list as a html document aranged by your keyword phrases, for example:

Once you’ve finished the list save it as a html file, upload it to your server and head over to:

http://www.html2rss.com/ and turn that html file into an RSS feed.

Another way would be to use Yahoo Pipes and import all of your RSS feeds into a mashup. If you’re not familiar with Yahoo Pipes I recommend that you go over there, watch the tutorial and craft yourself some amazing unique content.

Ok, now you have three ways to create a mashup feed.

The next thing you need to do is take the URL of your compiled list and head over to Pingomatic enter all your link details there ping the list and copy the url Pingomatic gives you (Pingomatic asks you to bookmark the url so you can use their service later) and paste it into notepad.

Now visit Online Cron Jobs, set up a free account, copy a bit of code and paste it into the html of a webpage on your domain. Now you can set up a Cron job to automatically run pingomatic once a day.

Theoretically every site you promote will be automatically pinged and therfore get visited by Search engines on a daily basis.

You could also use Twitterfeeder to call Pingomatic too…

I’ve noticed a marked improvement in Adsense revenue and sales are going pretty well too and my Alexa rankings have been consistently improving.

It will be interesting to see if such a simple technique may increase my online earnings substantially. Give this a try and let me know what results you get. The only thing I’m not sure about is that the sites will be pinged automatically by the cron, this pattern may be detected by the search engines.

For those of you who’d like to run Pingomatic from your desktop, I’ll create a desktop program which will randomly run Pingomatic, so it looks more natural.

Here are five ways that you can use Twitter to improve your web site traffic.

Use the search facility of Twitter to find people who are discussing your niche search.twitter.com

Participate in conversations, as long as you have something of value to offer.

Look for opportunities to promote your brand

Don’t participate in conversations with unrelated or push sales pitches

Post information thatyou’ve found on the net which may be useful to your followers

Make your profile as detailed as possible, always include a photo and link toyour web site and make the most from using keywords in your profile summary

Don’t use DM’s as they are downright spammy and annoying only use DM’s in private conversations.

To get followers you need to let people view your posts, if they areintersting then your followers will grow.

Make Sure That You Post Good Content!

Provide useful and  interesting content for your followers, it’s ok to plug the odd product or offer (as long as it’s related). Think about what you write, show people that you have an opinion rather than a borrowed one.

It’s all about being sociable!

Twitter has benefited my online ventures no end, admitedly it is only a small percentage which convert into customers, but by using creative marketing techniques you can build your business, increase your Web traffic and make a very comfortable living online indeed.

How To Increase Web Traffic The Lazy Way

I love blogging and it makes me a reasonable amount of money online, but man does it take a lot of work to increase web traffic to one’s creations. I love writing so it doesn’t really feel like a chore, but lately I’ve been wondering if it may be possible to increase web traffic simply by find an audience before setting up the next moneymaking blog.

Here’s a strategy I’m going to try and it’s all about capitalizing on social networking.

One of the biggest obstacles when starting a blog is dropping links in posts on forums, etc…when you haven’t built a relationship with the people there. They don’t know you from Adam, they might think you’re just there to get traffic (they’d be right) and so they’re less likely to visit your blog than if you were their friend.

Well heres my strategy for March 2009 and it’s got to be the best way to increase web traffic.

I’ll set up an account with Twitter, Myspace, Facebook, Linkedin, Digg, Reddit, friendfeed etc and start making some friends. I’ll do all of the initial niche research so I an find an area where I can give some value, check out their problems, do what I can to help them and to gain trust and then when things are looking good I’ll create a blog and let them know about it…I bet I’ll see an immediate surge of web traffic.

What a killer idea…I may just make a fortune :)
