There’s been a lot of interest in Fiverr of late and I’ve considered creating some software to sell there, but today I started thinking that maybe it would be better to outsource my work to people on Fiverr rather than selling my products at ridiculously low prices. I mean you I use Fiverr to find:
- A graphic designer to design ecovers and sales page graphics for my products
- Someone to build backlinks for me
- Someone to promote my site for me
- Someone to write unique articles for me
- Someone to do the odd bit of coding
- Someone to create videos for my products
- Someone to review my products…
The list goes on and on…My time is valuable and I do everything myself, I generally make no less than $100 a day, but with the assistance of people on Fiverr I’m sure I could really increase that sum. I’m going to price up a project and outsource everything I can to reputable folks on Fiverr and see how it goes. I’ll give reviews of the work that people on Fiverr do and post them here on my blog. I really think I’m onto something here.
Watch this space.

Hi, this is Nicole from vWorker.com (formerly known as Rentacoder.com). Like Fiverr, vWorker provides access to a wide variety of workers, but the services available at Fiverr could limit success. Consider the following:
1. Fiverr does not offer any arbitration details tho they suggest internal dispute resolution through a contact form. At vWorker, we offer arbitration on all projects free of charge and we show the public how our arbitrators make their decisions.
2. Fiverr offers no refunds, but places funds into a buyer’s account for future projects instead. Unlike other services, we guarantee your pay-for-deliverable projects with arbitration.
Fiverr is really most appropriate for trivial tasks while vWorker is appropriate for serious projects.

Thanks Nicole, but for 5 bucks, there’s really not too much at stake is there? I mean it seems a little insane to want to work for so little money. However, I still can see a lot of potential for using people on Fiverr, especially when some of them have received really good feedback for their work and I for one am going to give them a try…what do I have to lose, very little financially.
Hello again! Yes, the $5 investment is very little. However it’s a double-edged sword so to speak. The temptation to spend so little is so high, it could take many investments to realize the service isn’t an appropriate one. The question to ask then, is how many $5 installments will it take to see a benefit? 10? 20?
What about the success ratio at a site like this? I’ve been seeing 40/60, 50/50 ratios, so when it’s all said and done, a person could inadvertently spend hundreds of dollars only to have benefited half the time.
Time will certainly tell with Fiverr and all its clones. I just hate to see so much excitement and flurry over a system that (1) doesn’t yet have a proven track record and (2) that doesn’t offer standard protections. I wish you much luck and I will continue to read your blog in hopes that you’ll keep me (all of us) updated on your progress.
Thank you for responding.
My pleasure Nicole, I will consider using your services in the future. All the best
Rob
Fiverr is very cool. I used it often to get tweets out to large amounts of people at a time. Just make sure you look at the feedback and rating of the seller. I have also had great success (sometimes better than Fiverr) with UpHype.com. This one’s is all about “Hype” and is more focussed on marketing efforts to promote your message, business or product? UpHype jobs are called “Hypes”. Hypes range from promoting your message to a user’s 100,000 Twitter followers to writing an article or press release for your blog. http://uphype.com. Plus it has a fun design like fiverr.

Hello again Nicole
(hi admin!)
I think fiverr / uphype / fiveaussiedollar are all targetting a different market from what vworker is targetting.
There are things I would outsource on vworker I wouldn’t consider outsourcing on Fiverr like proper iphone development for example.
But if I need someone to help me with marketing, $5 / $10 / $20, whatever, can go a long way.
TaskArmy.com is a similar website to fiverr and the other clones, but the idea is to solve a different kind of problems. You wouldn’t go on TaskArmy.com to get an iphone app done, and you wouldn’t go on TaskArmy.com to get a $5 automatically generated SEO report.
I think there is a need for quality yet simple tasks marketplace. (simple enough to not have to go through a hiring process).
TaskArmy.com is the fiverr for professionals.

I am working at ScriptsListing Marketplace (i.e http://www.scriptslisting.com/marketplace) .. Really amazed to see that they are giving $1 just for posting and charging No commissions.
All those services on fiverr that you listed are the services I usually buy from there. I think fiverr is a god-send for people who are new to marketing and on a low budget. In total since discovering fiverr in july, I must have spent no more than $60 on fiverr, and as a result have made marked increased sales and site traffic, which I put down to fiverr gigs. I’ve had voice-overs created, product reviews, graphics, press releases etc.etc. its fantastic.
I have just learned about the site recently and I can see why you’re enthusiastic about it. I’m coming from the other angle, looking at what I can offer for 5 bucks.
I think it’s a good concept because it enables someone like yourself to get something done cheaply. And it gives people offering services a chance to show off what they can do and prove that they are reliable, with a view to possibly doing more work in the future.
We all found ourselves in situations where we needed a job done, but couldn’t find the right person or the right price for us. Some interesting websites provides a direct line for customers and suppliers to interact with one another and reaching mutual satisfaction. The set price and the wide range of suppliers offering their immediate services is a new market place concept like no other. On these marketplaces you’ll find online services such as advertising services, people who will write articles for you and even services you never though existed such as personal assistance with marketing activities, video, social activities services, or anything that comes to mind. You need something any job done this is the place to find someone who will do the job for you.
The unique nature of some website enables us to perform as a small trust fund. Meaning, that the $10 the customer transfers the money, but the service supplier will receive it only after the customer has confirmed his total satisfaction from the service provided. We cannot confirm nor have a background check on each service provider, but the way the platforms works assures that service providers who do not perform to the customers total satisfaction will eventually be removed from the site due to low evaluations the receive from you, the customer.
This is a self supported system. As such a system we depend on our followers to promote us. They are actually our best public relations people. Those who experienced the website and had a good interaction there will recommend us to people close to them. Through them we can reach out to a larger audience and provide you a greater deal of options. But it’s not all about us. Your personal interest is also at our heart, by using this platform you can expose yourself to a larger audience and increase your personal followers on the different web applications.
We truly believe that for some things in life there is no need to pay a lot in order to receive a top quality service. So why pay more when what you need to be done can be done for just $10.
I like working both sides of the Fiverr street. I buy gigs I can use to promote my websites, plus I sell gigs to gain visibility on Fiverr. My most popular gig is putting an ad on my Best of Fiverr blog.
