DSi is the third incarnation of the popular Nintendo series. The first Nintendo DS was lauchched in 2004 and the DS Lite, the successor of DS was launching in 2006. The DSi has a number of technical improvements over its predecessor the DS Lite. It has comparatively larger, brighter screens, an SD card slot and two motion-sensing cameras. DSi is also thinner than the previous version of the console, the DS Lite. The DSi has also an audio player and recorder, Wi-Fi and a dedicated memory slot, and an improved ergonomics and design. These features of DSi are simply great.
It is said that the biggest weakness of the Nintendo DS was the absence of an SD slot, but now with the DSi, you can download games, pictures, store music and movies, and do a whole lot more compared to the DS.
The two cameras of the DSi are VGA. It is able to take a decent quality of picture, and is good enough if you’re going to be chatting or video conferencing. DSi has many crazy and fun settings for your pictures.
The audio player of DSi also has great settings. You can enjoy music by adjusting the pitch and speed, and adding effects to recordings like echoes, instrumental only, an 8-bit tunes.
The DSi has a dual 3.25 inch LCD screens whereas the DS Lite had the 3 inch screens. Though DSi has the larger screens, it still retains the same case width and height of the DS Lite. The new screens also have five brightness levels of adjustment whereas the DS lite had four.
DSi’s has a thinner casing. The casing is 2.6mm or around 12% thinner than the DS Lite. It was partly achieved by the removal of the GameBoy Advance cartridge slot found on the DS Lite.
The retail price of DSi is fixed at £149.99 in the UK.

Ok, there are many who don’t like either black or white , the only two colors now DSi is available in the UK. They want to know , if it is available in any other colors. But unfortunately the answer will be negative. Currently , it is only available in two colors black and white.
