Some of you may have noticed my site was down for the past 12 hours. The problem was caused by plugins on my WordPress installation causing the cpu overload on my server. This was caused by running an autoblogging plugin. I had my site to run so that there would be a mixture of posts so it would be part autoblog and part contributions from me. The problem was that as soon as I had a large traffic spike the autoblog plugin started raising merry hell.
It’s been an important lesson to me and from now on all content will be written by myself and other contributors, but never again by an automated plugin.
