Installing Windows Programs On Mac

Apple Mac’s in their various flavours are the the staple choice of many Internet marketers. However one problem that many Mac users face is the inability to run Windows programs on the Mac platform. don’t get me wrong you do have options for example parallels and VM Ware, but then you still need to have a licensed copy of Microsoft windows and this all costs money. The good news is there is another option and it’s free, but it is a little bit complicated to set up. You may or may not have heard of WINE but it’s an application for any Mac using an Intel processor which will allow you to run Windows programs on the Mac platform. I found this great video on you tube that takes you through all of the necessary steps for installing WINE and if you’re a frustrated Mac user who wants to use Internet marketing software developed for PCs, then you’re in for a right treat!

The advantage of using wine over parallels and VM Ware as well is that you don’t need to have a Windows license and it will run software much better than running in a virtual environment. This is great news for all of you people who want to get hold of the software that I develop, but may have been put off by the expense of parallels or VM Ware and also the added requirement of getting a Windows license.

so take the plunge and start running native Windows programs on your Mac.

Magix Movie Edit Pro My Experience

“The proof is in the pudding” as they say so after buying Magix Movie Edit Pro MX premium edition and installing it I thought I’d have a go at making my own video trailer. Now I hate reading manuals…to be honest I never do (apart from when I have to) I learn best by playing with software and working stuff out on my own.

It took me a little while to figure out how the software works, but within an hour I had my first creation up on Youtube. it was only created for a laugh, but was done in one take…I added a little reverb to the silly voice I put on and added a simple fade text effect. Here is the video i made;

Now considering I created this video with Magix Movie Edit Pro in less than an hour after downloading it, I was really impressed and showed the video to some of my fellow Internet marketers who were “blown away”. A couple of people asked me who I’d hired to get the video made as they’d like one done and several others went straight off to Magix to immediately purchase it. Man, i was regretting that i wasn’t an affiliate!

A friend of mine who does video editing professionally and recently made a video for David Milliband (A well known politician and brother to our Prime minister here in the UK) said he loved it…and this guy does this for a living!

Another guy I spoke to suggested that I start making videos for folks on the Warrior Forum and said the quality of my work was much better than one guy who is selling the service there for $35 per intro video.

So as you can see Magix Movie Edit Pro really is a good investment for your money and I think it will be extremely useful to my business and will help me to create some real “killer” video squeeze pages.

Awesome Free Web Automation Tool – Sikuli

I’m a lover of automation as I’m sure you know and any software which is going to increase my online productivity is always going to be on my shopping list. That’s why I have purchased practically every automation tool out there, including:

Pushbutton Marketer
Ubot
Zennoposter
Winautomation

The list goes on…

I understand though that not everyone can afford these tools, which was the case for me too not so very long ago. So it’s refreshing when you can find an open source tool which you can get totally for free.

In the free arena we have:

Autohotkey (Great free macro recording tool, I’ve made several thousand dollars using the scripting language, which you can compile into an executable)
AutoIT – Yet another great programming language, Sick submitter was created in Autoit.
Iopus IMacros (free version) not bad for automating your browser, I made a twitter mass follow/ unfollow script with it, don’t really use it much these days though.

And now…Sikuli!

It looks to be an awesome tool for automating the internet marketing activities you need to complete each day. It’s a Java based application and therefore will run on multiple operating systems which is a real plus point. The software allows you to record all of the actions which take place in a browser, but you can also use it to control other applications too. Here’s the description form the web site:

“Sikuli is a visual technology to automate and test graphical user interfaces (GUI) using images (screenshots). Sikuli includes Sikuli Script, a visual scripting API for Jython, and Sikuli IDE, an integrated development environment for writing visual scripts with screenshots easily. How to get more followers on Twitter and more…

You may well know that I develop software for Twitter, and I’m very proud of the software I’ve developed which allows following, mass unfollowing, scheduled Tweeting, auto-replying etc. I have created two applications Twitter Adder Pro and Tweetmagnate. I use these tools regularly…but I have to confess I purchased Tweet Attacks Pro and Tweet Attacks account creator a few days ago and I hate to say it, but I really love the software.. I’ve been looking at some simple strategies which can be used with this software.

“What makes it so special then and can’t your software do the same things?” Well my software is great for building and managing a following, but Tweetattacks is much more powerful and can maintain hundreds of accounts at a time, put them all on autopilot and make you affiliate commissions, boost your traffic etc, which was a bit beyond the scope of the software I’ve developed…but then again I charge $20 and $47 respectively for my products, whereas Tweetattacks will cost you a hefty $127 (with my $20 discount)

The thing about marketing on Twitter and promoting Affiliate products is that it really is a “numbers game” the more active accounts you have posting good content regularly will reap dividends in the long term. I make some sales on Twitter with my software, but with Tweetattacks I’m convinced that I will make much more. The method I am going to employ has been used by some well known Internet Marketer friends of mine, who I have great respect for and trust, so if these guys are doing it, it works!

I’m looking at making $50 a day from my efforts, that may not sound like much, but if it works well then I’ll look into doing something on a much grander scale and get outsourcers running the software.

What I Like About Tweet Attacks

I like Tweetattacks because, like my Twitter adder software, it does not use the Twitter API and therefore appears to be a genuine user. This alone reduces the possibility of your Twitter account being banned, but it also can manage hundreds of Twitter accounts at a time and use proxies whilst doing so.

You can use this software tool to:

Follow a users followers, like a competitor’s or a star in your niche.
Follow another user’s lists, where that user has spent time and care building a list of responsive users.
