Backlinker Professional 5.27 released

Creating an effective link building campaign is an essential SEO task, but it takes time to research and find the best backlinks and is also an activity which needs to be carefully executed too…or your web site could suffer a penalty from the search engines. I am an SEO professional and have been working online for nearly ten years.I am self employed and having a good understanding of effective backlinking strategies is essential for the survival of my business.

The purpose of this article is to address the recent changes in Search Engine Optimization since the Panda update and to examine the efficacy of existing backlinking practices. I will cover creative methods for building backlinks in a future article but initially I will address the commen methods of backlinking in the current Internet Marketing arena.

• Writing articles – there has been a lot of controversy regarding the effectiveness of article marketing since the Panda update and a lot of negativity has been expressed by concerned Internet Marketers. It’s true that the old method of “Bum Marketing” is definitely a thing of the past now but there is still value from getting quality links from good article directories. Good quality content will always be favoured by the search engines, we just have to ensure that we create content that will be appreciated, rather than low value spun content. People need information on a variety of interesting and complex topics and article syndication is a great method for getting the information you want to be seen out to your potential customers. In conlusion I have to say that as long as the content is good quality then the benefits from article marketing can still be appreciated.

• Outbound links – We are all concerned with getting inbound links to our websites, but often the importance of having outbound links to related authority websites is overlooked. We need to selectively link to other related blogs in our niche, this also adds to the authority of our website. Think about keeping everything relevant. Links within content on our blogs acts like a reference, it shows that we have done research (This is not disimilar to footnotes in a book.) and this further enhances our status as an authority in our niche.

• Social Media Profiles – Socila media has become a stong influence over the past few years, Google is a prime example. Google+ has become a way for us “the users” to evaluate the quality of content and therefore share it if we believe the information to be good. Clever thinking, on Google’s part as we as users are doing work on behalf of Google and we are doing it for free! It’s a great idea too, this means that spam will slowly and surely disappear from the Internet and the quality of of browsing experience will improve.

• Blog Comments – A tried and tested method of building traffic and authority for your site. Alas it does not have the power it once had, again that is down to the spammers who hit our blogs on a daily basis. Successful posting on EDU, Gov and Org sites provide excellent quality links, if you have the knowledge about how to find them. To this end I have developed some new and very effective queries which reveal these blogs easily. (However this is not information I am going to let go for free though, it’s too valuable. I wil however reveal these techniques on my membership site. http://www.automatedtoolkit.com which I aim to have open very soon.)

• Guest Blogging – Blogging on an authority site is a fantastic way of getting good quality backlinks to your site. If you create high quality, original content than you can have a lot of success from this method.

• Directory Submissions -  An age old technique, which although it has less value than it once had, it still offers a good and viable way of building backlinks to your website. Submit your site to as many quality directories as you can whilst ensuring that they are related to your niche.

• Link Baiting – This is another great way of building links back to your site and although requires a bit of work at the front end, can create spectacular results. For example, I used Artisteer to create some blog templates and gave the templates away freely. In return I ended up with 6000 links pointing to my website from blog owners who installed my WordPress themes. A good example of link bait would be to produce a series of branded web design templates that you allow users to download for free. As they download the templates and create web sites they are providing a back link to your site through the brand or link embedded within the source code of the template.

• Link Magnets – Link magnets are the next evolution in the life of the linkwheel. A link magnet consists of an open network of web 2.0 properties which point to your main money site. Linkwheels are no longer as effective as they have a definite footprint, in that they are a closed network. Link magnets can be used to get your site to rank for your keywords and I personally know some people using these techniques who are ranking for terms like “Acne” So that gives you a good idea of how effective this strategy is

• Forum Marketing – By contributing on High PR forums in your niche you not only establish trust (and expert status), you’ll also develop long lasting business relationships with the people you connect with and you’ll also benefit from some good link juice back to your money site. Many forums provide you with the facility of creating a signature link (I try to make this a part of my daily IM strategy), simply posting on a popular internet marketing forum can bring me traffic and sales within hours. Every post you make will result in a backlink to your site…I’m sure you can see the value in that.

• Press Releases – press releases allow you to get instant exposure on the search engines. Very few press release companies allow you to put a link within the body of your article, but there is usually the iopportunity to drop a link in a resource box or bio. Press releases are a very effective way of getting traffic and you can rank well for your keyword phrases using this technique. • Video Marketing – I love video marketing and it is incredibly effective at getting people to visit your blog or money site. In youtube under the description of your video you can put a link to your site, make sure you do this before you write any other content, to make sure that the ink is found by users. I personally use Camtasia and Magix Movie Editor Premium MX 18. Using these tools allows me to create very professional videos and my sales have increased as a result. I try to do a video post a day for my main site and as you can see by my Alexa renking it is a very effective method of increasing the popularity of your site. Another great advantage of using video is that it keeps your audience engaged, which results in a low bounce rate and further demonstrates that your site is an authority site.

• Social Bookmarking – Social bookmarking delivers very little link juice but is still an important facet of your IM strategy. To use Social Bookmarking effectively you need to focus on creating relevant and targeted tags. Social bookmarking takes a while to set up the initial accounts (However you could pay someone on Fiverr to do this) Once again, I will be realesing software on my membership site to automate this process.

• One way Inbound links – the most effective method of establishing yourself as an authority in your niche. A labour intensive but valuable process. The way to get one way links is to engage with the people in your niche and develop relationships with them this will encourage them to link to you. Often emailing the owner of a site and requesting a link can get results…to this end, I think will develop some software for this purpose.

• Web 2.0 Properties – I know I mentioned them earlier under Link Magnets but creating blogs on platforms like Squidoo,blogger,hubpages and WordPress etc. offers a great way of getting backlinks back to your site. You can also benefit from Google Adsense revenue on some of these sites.

So there you go, these are the methods you should be using to improve the popularity of your site, if you do a good job you will definitely see the benefits. For example, if I write about an affiliate product on my site I will make sales usually with hours of making a post, and over the past couple of weeks have taken over $200 from affiliate sales alone.
